Privacy Policy

Effective: February 21, 2022

Welcome to Treasure Chest!

Treasure Chest is a mobile NFT viewing and AR content creation app (“Treasure Chest” or “App”). Treasure Chest allows you to view your NFT collection in AR using your phone and to create photos and videos to share with your friends and the public.

When you’re using our services, such as Treasure Chest and our website TreasureChest.Club (“Services”), you share personal data with Pine Labs LLC (“Pine Labs”). We know legal documents can be long and difficult to read, that’s why we’ve tried to avoid legalese and keep this document as concise as possible. If you have any questions, just contact us at

We’ll start with a summary of the key things you need to know, but we encourage you to read the entire policy to get a full picture of how Pine Labs handles your personal data.

  • When you use our Services your data is shared with Pine Labs.

  • You can keep content you create private, or you can share it with your friends or share it on other platforms like Snapchat and Twitter. When you share content on Twitter and other platforms it will be uploaded to our servers and hosted at a public URL that you can share or post. If you’d rather keep your content to yourself, no problem, just save it to your camera roll.

  • To power Treasure Chest we may share some of your data with our services providers, for example to host your data and run analytics, for more information see the section below titled “How we may share your information”.

  • You don’t create an account with us. Instead, when you download the App we assign an identifier to that download of the App. Any wallets you connect will be associated with that download. If you want to download our App on another device, you’ll have to connect your wallet(s) to that download.

  • We store most of the data associated with each App download as long as the App is on your device or until you decide to delete the data. You can delete the App or the information stored on the App at any time.

  • We respect your privacy rights, so just reach out to us if you’d like to receive a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it. See the section below titled “Your Rights” for details.

Information we collect

The information we collect can be divided into the following groups, (1) information you provide directly to us, (2) information we collect when you use our services, and (3) information that others may provide to us.

Information you provide directly to us

Here’s an overview of information you may provide to us:

  • NFT Wallet. When you connect an NFT wallet you provide us with the wallet’s URL. We don’t collect your login information. Instead you’ll be directed to confirm the connection via the wallet’s app on your device.

  • Photos and Videos. Any photos and videos you share publicly from the App will be uploaded to our servers.

  • Support. If you contact us, we will receive some information. For example support tickets you submit, online surveys you complete, and other information you may voluntarily provide to us.

Information you provide when using our services

When you use our Services, we collect information about how you use them so we can provide you with a better experience, such as:

  • App interactions. We collect information about how you use our Services, including the types of interactions, such as creating photos or videos, viewing data about your NFT wallet, and sharing photos and videos from the App.

  • Device information. We collect a variety of device-specific information, such as phone name, phone hardware model, operating system version, unique application identifiers, unique device identifiers, phone language, IP addresses, and general mobile network information. This helps us protect your security, fix bugs, and improve the experience of the App.

  • Log information. We may collect some information about when and where you use our Services, such as the date and time you last used our Services and the country you’re using the App from. This helps us understand what features you use and when so we can continue to improve our Services.

Information others may provide to us

When you successfully connect an NFT wallet, we receive information from that wallet provider such as the NFTs within that wallet.

How we use your information

Simply put, we use your information to provide you with the best possible experience. To do this, we use your information to:

  • Develop, operate, improve, deliver, maintain and protect our services;

  • Perform analytics on how and when users use our Services to help us further develop and improve them;

  • Showcase your photos and videos on TreasureChest.Club, within the App, or in other ways at your direction;

  • Review crash reports so we can see what went wrong and improve your user experience the next time you use it;

  • Enhance the safety and security of our products and services, for example, by detecting copyright infringement or other forms of abuse;

  • Send you push notifications to provide updates on your NFT wallet, interactions with your content or new features. Of course, if you don't want to receive push notifications, just turn them off via the settings on your device;

  • Verify your identity to prevent fraud or other unauthorized or illegal activity;

  • Enforce our Terms of Service (“Terms”) and other policies; and

  • Store some information locally on your device, so that you can open the App and view content faster.

Legal bases for processing information

For users in the European Economic Area (“EEA”), the main legal basis for processing your information is providing the Services to you as described in the Terms.

Where any of the processing activities described in this privacy policy are not strictly necessary for the performance of the Terms, we will process your personal data where it is necessary for our legitimate interests and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests. Legitimate interest in this context means Pine Labs’s interest in conducting and managing its business to enable us to provide our users with the best possible Services, protecting it against bad actors, supporting our internal analytics, handling support tickets, conducting surveys, and protecting our business by establishing and enforcing our rights.

When we rely on legitimate interests as our legal basis, we make sure we consider and balance the positive and negative impact the processing may have on your rights. If we determine your rights override our legitimate interests, we do not rely on legitimate interest as a legal basis for processing.

Generally we do not rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your personal data, unless it's for notification in the App or for the use of non-essential cookies on our websites. If we rely on consent, we will clearly notify you.
